Senior Project Manager | Ground-Up Multifamily Development | Syracuse, NY

A well-established real estate developer and builder with more than 40 years of experience delivering large-scale residential communities is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee ground-up multifamily developments in the Syracuse, NY market.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through turnover, overseeing budgets, schedules, subcontractor relationships, procurement, and project execution. This individual will work closely with ownership, consultants, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead ground-up multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and change orders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestone achievement.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement, contract administration, and subcontractor buyout.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and owner reporting.
  • Work closely with field teams to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining budget and schedule objectives.
  • Lead project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover activities.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience managing ground-up multifamily residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and project financials.
  • Experience working for a developer, general contractor, or developer-builder platform.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $140,000 – $200,000
