Commercial Litigation Associate – Financial Services & Title Insurance

Location: Morris County, New Jersey
Salary: $170,000–$210,000 base salary
Experience: 5–8 years

About the Opportunity

A well-established, full-service law firm with a strong regional presence and a sophisticated commercial litigation practice is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 5–8 years of experience in financial services and title insurance litigation. This is an opportunity to work directly with an experienced litigation partner on complex, substantive matters involving banking disputes, title claims, and lender-related litigation.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial litigation matters involving financial institutions, lenders, and title insurance companies.
• Manage title insurance disputes, including mortgage fraud, forgery, mortgage priority disputes, boundary line disputes, quiet title actions, and ejectment claims.
• Work on lender liability claims, commercial foreclosures, and other banking-related litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery, depositions, court appearances, and case strategy.
• Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the litigation team to advance matters efficiently.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of commercial litigation experience, with a focus on financial services, banking litigation, and/or title insurance claims.
• Experience handling complex title disputes, mortgage-related litigation, or lender-side matters strongly preferred.
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and case-management skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with senior attorneys.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar required.
